Research

I wanted to say congratulations to David Schatsky and the team at JupiterResearch, as well as the fine folks at Forrester Research, on the news of FORR’s acquisition of JupiterResearch announced this morning.  Forrester has acquired a great asset and a great group of analysts, researchers, and operational staff, and it was very encouraging to read David

Many of you have probably already noticed this but John Lovett at JupiterResearch just released his “Web Analytics Buyer’s Guide: Assessing Vendors’ Competencies and Value” (requires registration.)  Having done one of these reports myself back in the day I want to congratulate John on publishing an amazingly detailed and insightful piece of work.  John has a blog p

Now that the X Change conference is just over a month out several of the experts and huddle leaders that will be in attendance have offered to talk a little bit about what they’re going to be talking about in August.  Jared Waxman leads the Data Insights Group at Intuit’s Mountain View headquarters and is a very bright and outgoing member of the web analytics community.  Jared is launching a survey designed to help us all better understand how effectively we’re doing web analytics and will be talking about the results in his huddles at X Change.

For those of you who missed my presentation yesterday, “Web Analytics: A Day a Month”, you can now listen to the re-recorded webcast at WebEx thanks to Tableau and the American Marketing Association. I say “re-recorded” since once again I managed to bring a large enough crowd to the webcast to break WebEx. Web analytics is hot!

A number of folks from around the world wrote me after downloading our recent research on web analytics salaries in the U.S. asking if we had comparable numbers for Europe, Canada, and the rest of the world.

A lot has been written recently on the hot job market for web analytics positions. Perhaps because there is such a profound gap between the number of open positions and the number of experienced practitioners looking for jobs, web analytics salaries run pretty high.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Web Analytics Demystified Fall 2007 survey!  We had nearly 1,000 responses again and a quick glance at the data shows some very, very interesting results.  Remember, if you want to see the results once I get them written up, you can either leave me your name and email address or, even better, subscribe to my weblog since I’ll be talking about the results as soon

I like the description. Coz I have never been such a cold european country. But I love to see and visit Finland someday.
What a peaceful country. I saw many nature pics of Finland. But I knowledged more from this lovely, description of this US boy.

I’ve always imagined other African countries as more “traditional” Africa (I think of Kenya first), so it’s interesting to hear it’s one of the least “morphed”. And that it’s green and has spicy food…I’ve never really put Ethiopia on my list of places I wanted to travel to until now.

There’s been much criticism about the WSS protests “not being very Buddhist!”
Recently we see in the news (see link below) Tens of thousands of South Korean Buddhists peacefully demonstrating waving placards and fists, chanting
“Oppose religious discrimination” against their country’s leader and government.

Are they not Buddhists too?

Hi Adriana,

I do not know anything about that. Does anyone else?
I believe the company is based in Germany, but my only guess is that being technically in Mauritius offers a certain favorable tax status?
But I really don’t know. Is anyone wiser on this issue?

Clint,
I really appreciate that you started this blog. I have been contacted by them and also wondered about their legitimacy. My advisor says that the company is in Mauritius. Do you know anything about that?
